Former Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has expressed appreciation to President William Ruto for nominating him as the Kenyan High Commissioner to Uganda. He said that he looks forward to seeing positive progress during his term as High Commissioner, should he be confirmed for the role. He affirmed that he is committed to seeing continued growth of diplomatic relations between the two countries. "I look forward to witnessing the positive outcomes of my tenure as High Commissioner and remain steadfast in our support for the continued growth of diplomatic relations between our two great nations." Before his nomination, Maangi had been appointed Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) before the High Court pronounced the positions as null and void.
