First VictimAccording to the Tharaka South police boss Kiprop Rutto, the first victim of the killer brew was 72-year-old Victor Nkari who harvested the honey and made the alcohol. He was found alive but barely clinging to life, and died while receiving treatment at the hospital. “We suspect the honey is the source of the problem because the young boy only took it raw,” villager Nicholas Mutegi told journalists.
