The usual ski resort paraphernalia – pylons, giant flashing piste maps, noisy bars – was absent. Last winter saw the launch of the Magic Pass, a season lift-pass covering 30 Swiss resorts. Facebook Twitter Pinterest Chandolin, at 1,936 metres above sea level, is one of Europe’s highest villages. Some enthusiasts have made a challenge of trying to ski all 30 resorts in the pass, or are touring them by campervan. Alternatively, a Val d’Anniviers ski pass costs £127 adult/£76 child for three days, £229 /£138 for six days.
