Barry Svrluga, one of the pre-eminent chroniclers of D.C. sports, will join as a Commanders reporter who will also weigh in on the biggest stories in the nation’s capital. Barry has worked at The Post since 2003, covering college basketball and football, the Nats and the NFL franchise before becoming a columnist in 2016. He is a national voice on Olympic sports – the Milan Games were the 12th consecutive Olympics he has covered, choosing to go even after The Post shut down its sports desk. Barry is a seven-time winner of the D.C. Sportswriter of the Year award, and author of two books about the Nats.
