But luckily, the Galvin Brothers did not just stop there. In May 1930, Paul Galvin, the mind behind the Motorola Car Radio, decided to show the world what this amazing device could do. So, he set off in his Studebaker car from Chicago, Illinois, to Atlantic City, New Jersey, U.S.A with the car radio installed. The Motorola Car Radio also came with installation directions and it was advertised to fit ‘any car’. Needless to say, the Motorola Car Radio not only saved the company from extinction, but also helped it get through the Great Depression.
