This month is their biggest test yet – opening Miraval Austin where the Travaasa Austin once stood among the oaks and cedars of Texas Hill Country. “We don't want to disrupt what Miraval is,” says Miraval Austin resort manager Harrison Compton. With a 10-acre farm and flock of 125 chickens, the farm-to-table element of Miraval Austin also expands on the herb garden in Tucson. Hyatt's expansion strategy is to open new Miraval resort spas in areas that are within easy reach for longtime Miraval guests. The demographic of guests at Miraval is slowly shifting too now that Hyatt loyalists can earn and redeem their World of Hyatt points to stay at Miraval.
