The Pennsylvania Republican had been announced as a candidate for the job by House GOP conference chair Elise Stefanik on Sunday. Bergman is a member of the House Armed Services Committee where he chairs the Intelligence and Special Operations Subcommittee. Scott, who represents Georgia’s 8th Congressional District, serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the House Armed Services Committee and the House Agriculture Committee. He also serves as a deputy whip for the House GOP and was previously chairman of the Republican Study Committee. Johnson sits on the House Judiciary Committee, Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government and on the House Armed Services Committee.
