Instead, at the premiere event in New York City earlier this month, I thought to myself, “Am I watching ‘Enchanted’? HBO Jon and Dany staring longingly at a waterfall in the Season 8 premiere. As someone who’s obsessively watched the show since the first season aired in 2011, my expectations for the Season 8 debut were high. The Season 8 premiere, however, had no creepy opening, despite the oncoming threat of the Night King.
