★☆☆☆☆The Greasy Strangler is a black comedy about a serial killer who covers himself in cooking fat before murdering his victims and eating their eyeballs. It’s supposed to be ironic and self-aware, full of deliberately poor line readings and stiff, stylised performances, but it’s mostly tedious. The killer, Big Ronnie (Michael St Michaels), wears a enormous prosthetic penis throughout. Which is about as sophisticated as it gets.
