Victor Osimhen is the only Super Eagles star to be listed on the prestigious Guardian Top 100 footballers in the world for 2025. The Galatasaray star striker was listed at the 46th best player. Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, who was CAF Player of 2024, did not make the cut. Ousmane Dembélé was named the best player of the year by the British newspaper The Guardian. This comes as no surprise, as the PSG forward has also won the Ballon d’Or and The Best FIFA Men’s Player.
