I lost my 16-month-old son in May of 2017, and as you can imagine, the experience took its toll. My head was full of terrifying, debilitating thoughts as can often be the case after loss or trauma. We can write our deepest thoughts and beliefs down or speak them all into an audio recorder, or share them with a therapist. To heal myself, I wrote out all my terrifying, debilitating thoughts — lie after lie, fear after fear. If no, then say thank you for the lessons you have learned, and let the thoughts go.
