The ruling Social Democrats led by Prime Minister Stefan Lofven had 28.1 percent, and the far-right Sweden Democrats 17.9 percent. Returns reported by the Scandinavian country's election commission showed the Sweden Democrats placing third in the parliamentary election held Sunday. The count showed the Moderates next with 19.2 percent, and the far-right Sweden Democrats getting 17.9. Both the left-leaning bloc led by the Social Democrats and the center-right bloc have said they would refuse to consider the Sweden Democrats as a potential coalition partner. Separately, Swedish tabloid Expressen interviewed a representative of the right-wing Sweden Democrats.
