— Millions of vulnerable U.S. residents will need COVID-19 vaccines brought to them because they rarely or never leave their homes. ———NEW BRUNSWICK, New Jersey — Johnson & Johnson has applied to the World Health Organization for an emergency approval of its COVID-19 vaccines, which should help speed up its use in countries around the world. Johnson & Johnson in December agreed to provide up to 500 million doses of its vaccine to COVAX through 2022. The state health department has scheduled vaccination clinics during the weekend to replace those postponed due to a winter storm. Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott says it was a difficult, but necessary decision to keep the areas under tight public health measures.
