Universal Pictures' The Mummy starring Brendan Fraser was one of the most loved and successful films of the year and its writing, direction and special effects were widely appreciated. That film spawned a sequel two years later starring Hollywood superstar Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in his acting debut. Now, the series has been rebooted with Tom Cruise in the centre with an all-new storyline, not connected to the original series, and it features the Mission: Impossible star Cruise saving the world against one mad mummy played by Sofia Boutella. Tom Cruise plays Nick Morton while Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe plays the supporting role of Dr Henry Jekyll.
