WITH less than three weeks before the trade deadline, the rumor mill in the NBA is already running wild. This has a lot of teams, especially the legitimate contenders, salivating for one or two players who can help them reach the Finals. Despite the addition of former league MVP Russell Westbrook, the Lakers are barely in the playoff picture and are in danger of missing it altogether. Personally, the one who should take the blame is VP for basketball operations Rob Pelinka who facilitated the Westbrook trade reportedly on the egging of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. A potential Simmons trade, however, would center around John Collins but still, the 76ers are not biting.
