The Port of Motril is working on extending its regular passenger lines for the growth and optimisation of its infrastructures

The Port of Motril takes stock of the passenger traffic for the first half of 2023 which consolidates the regular lines with North Africa. Specifically, the number of passengers is 34,960 compared with 18,786 in 2022, which represents an increase of 86.10%. In addition to these figures, the Port Authority of Motril is working to expand the regular lines with North Africa given the growth potential of the Motril dock. Currently, in the middle of Operation Crossing the Straits, it is at 50% of its capacity. "The Port's potential allows for greater growth so as not to be underused, we have to optimise our infrastructures to get the most out of what our facilities can offer", assured the president of the Port Authority of Motril, José García Fuentes.
