West Ham United’s Alphonse Areola performed his first DJ set at the east London pub on Saturday evening. I didn’t speak to him about West Ham because it wasn’t the time for it. That musical passion extends to DJing, and a chance meeting between Archie and Areola’s cousin led to the surprise set. I went to the match (against Bournemouth) and decided at the last minute to visit the pub to meet Areola’s cousin. My photo with him was behind the bar and he said, ‘You can tell everyone this is where I have my first DJ set’.
