It is a beautiful drive and I love seeing the various mountain ranges on the horizon, many with snow-topped peaks. Instead, we were getting hungry and we had a mission to stop in Grand Lake for lunch. We had lunch at a very old hotel by the rapids flowing into Grand Lake. Grand Lake Lodge, inside Rocky Mountain National ParkThere was some type of regatta going on on Grand Lake (the lake on the left — Spirit Lake is the one on the right). Rocky Mountain National Park is one of our state’s treasures.
