It is especially difficult if they arrive in a strange country and without requisite language skills. These truisms are being ignored by the Home Office in its treatment of child refugees. We report today that under-16s are being dumped in hotels despite a pledge by Gavin Williamson, the education secretary, not to place children in “unregulated accommodation”.
