Buttigieg, if elected in 2020 then reelected to a second term, would leave office the day after he turned 47. Led by the president, Republicans will say that every single investigation underway is a political trick, part of a witch hunt. But there's a real division between Democratic voters on the Mueller probe, and there always has been.
