​​​​​​The dates for the new post office in Diss opening and the old one closing have been revealed. The current branch in Market Place will be closing on Friday, July 12, at 5.30pm and its new location, at 35e Mere Street, will open on July 16, at 1pm. The Diss Post Office in Market Place. Picture: Mark BullimoreThe new premises, formerly Octagon Craft Gallery and Coffee Lounge, is undergoing a full refurbishment to incorporate Diss Post Office as well as a card and stationery store. Wendy Hamilton, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We are delighted that there will soon be a permanent Post Office solution in Diss inside a new, fully modern shop.”The site of the new Diss Post Office, 35e Mere Street.
