It's what happens if an armed Black person clashes with an armed White person at a protest and bullets start flying. And there is a growing Second Amendment movement among Black Americans who are forming their own armed groups. Not all of these Black groups are challenging White vigilante groups. Black newspapers in the late 19th century encouraged Black gun ownership to protect their readers against White vigilantes. It's also why some worry that images of an armed Black person defending themselves could backfire even if that person has credible claims of self-defense.
