The museum is the arsenal of memories of the Chittagong Youth UprisingThe Chittagong City Police has taken initiative to preserve the armory which the revolutionaries under the leadership of Masterda Surya Sen had shaken the foundations of the British rulers. The ‘Bangladesh Police Liberation War Museum, Chittagong’ is being built by preserving the arsenal and barracks of the then British police at Dampara Police Lines in Chittagong. During the two hundred years of British rule, the first victory flag was flown in Chittagong through the Chittagong Youth Rebellion. The British government announced a reward of Tk 10,000 for finding a master in the case of the Chittagong Youth Uprising. A total of 54 revolutionaries were martyred in the Chittagong Youth Uprising due to hanging, police firing, torture after arrest and illness after arrest.
