PETALING JAYA (May 24): The Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (Rehda) Malaysia has lost a mentor and a pillar of support, following the passing of Datuk Teo Chiang Quan, Paramount Corp Bhd chairman and executive director, said Rehda president Datuk Soam Heng Choon (pictured). “I am deeply saddened by the passing away of Datuk Teo Chiang Quan. We have lost a great leader in our property development and real estate industry,” Soam told EdgeProp.my after receiving the bad news. After battling for 21 days, the 72-year-old Teo passed away at 6.38pm today due to complications from a Covid-19 infection. “We will always remember his selflessness in agreeing to allow his director of Paramount Property (late Datuk Ricque Liew) spearhead the supervision in the construction of Wisma Rehda.
