With autumn bringing about colder weather and of course strong winds in Scotland, walking can become more difficult. But the outdoors is sometimes more picturesque during these months and this stunning castle in the Highlands is a must-see for those who want to venture up North. It is based on Loch Awe near Fort William, and according to historians could once only be accessed by boat.
