Tipping has become so expected that it has taken on its own form of entitlement and the general public is getting tip fatigue. Not only is tipping now considered a norm for even the simplest activity, but the anticipated amount of the tip has been steadily increasing. The increasing percentage for tips has become so common that there is a name for it – tipflation. The higher menu prices (due to inflation) along with the increasing demand for tips have convinced diners that staying home is better than dining out.
