The world’s oldest person has died. Guinness World Records recognised Kane as the oldest person living and the oldest female alive in 2019 when she was 116 years old. “She became the oldest living person in January 2019 at the age of 116 years and 28 days. She was four years shy of becoming the oldest person to ever live after Calment, and had hoped to at least live to 120. According to Guinness World Records Sister André, who was born on 11 February 1904 as Lucile Randon, is the oldest living person as well as the world's oldest nun and the oldest person to survive COVID-19.
