Elizabeth Holmes arrived at San Jose federal courthouse to face the start of her highly-anticipated fraud trial as jury selection began Tuesday. And three years since the founder and former Chief Executive Officer for Theranos was indicted on multiple federal fraud and conspiracy charges following one of the most spectacular flameouts in modern-tech history. Prosecutors allege that Holmes knowingly misrepresented the capacity of Theranos's proprietary blood testing technology to bilk investors out of millions of dollars. According to Holmes, Theranos would break even in 2014 with a projected turnover of $100million. In reality, the contracts provided only a limited revenue stream and Theranos technology was never deployed in the field.
