Thieves filmed stealing 300 Christmas trees in 'sickening' lockdown break-in

Pines and Needles in Wimbledon suffered the break in where over £3,000-worth-of-stock was taken leaving the boss Josh Lyle "sickened". Mr Lyle believes police will have plenty to go on thanks to Christmas lights which helped illuminate the three men and their van. "Our job is to spread Christmas cheer to everyone in the UK, sending our trees far and wide. "This was a pretty brazen act in a well-lit yard right at the Wimbledon Park Road entrance, so we're hoping they get their comeuppance." A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police told Mirror Online: "Police were contacted at approximately 19.40hrs on Friday, November 27, following the theft of a number of Christmas trees from a pop-up shop in Wimbledon Park, Southfields.
