Vanderbilt was named as one of the next generation of Ivy League schools. In recent years, the Ivy Leagues have faced numerous critiques over admissions policies, grade inflation and response to campus protests. Amid this backlash the Ivies have faced, Forbes created a new group of Ivy Leagues of 20 prestigious public and private universities. These universities are: Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth University, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University and Yale University. Schools like the University of Chicago, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Duke University are all schools that fit this criteria.
