While Dufour grew up listening to jazz singers, world music and classical compositions, Michel was more into tunes by folks guitarists, and Phayphet into electro and hip hop. Speaking about the popularity of their jazz inspired style, Michel says, "To me, jazz doesn't have to be fully understood to be fully appreciated.
