Addressing the Parliamentary Press Corps in Accra on Thursday, Assafuah said the alleged zero allocation represents a serious failure to support young people. Vincent Assafuah further accused the government of failing to deliver on its promises to the youth. “They promised the youth a ladder to opportunity, but after the election, they kicked the ladder away,” he remarked. The MP is, therefore, calling for the immediate restoration of funding to the National Youth Authority, along with greater transparency and accountability in the allocation of public resources. “This is a generational betrayal,” he stressed, urging the government to place youth empowerment at the centre of its development agenda.
