The Observatory might issue its first cold weather warning of this winter on Monday, as the mercury is expected to dip to as low as 4 degrees Celsius that day following the arrival of an intense winter monsoon to the city on Christmas Day. On the day after Boxing Day, the temperature is forecast to plunge to 4 degrees Celsius in Ta Kwu Ling. Sha Tin, Tai Po and Sheung Shui will expect to see temperature dip to as a minimum of 7 degrees Celsius. Likewise, the temperature will drop to 8 degrees Celsius in Sai Kung, Tseung Kwan O and Tsing Yi. Temperature in urban areas will be between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius.
