Around 50,000 people of 30 villages at four upazilas in Madaripur district will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr today in conformity with Saudi Arabia. Local sources said the followers of Shah Nur-e-Hossain of Sureshwar Darbar Sharif under Naria upazila of the district will celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr. Chairman Akter Haolader of Panchkhola union council under Sadar upazila said more than 50,000 people of Kalikapur, Talluk, Mohisherchar, Jajira, Jafrabad, Bagerchar, katla and Chargobindapur villages in his union would celebrate Eid today. Ali Ahmed Fakir, former UP member, said: “The people of the villages start fasting and celebrate Eid in conformity with Saudi Arabia.”Eid congregation will be held at Madaripur Charkalikapur Primary School field, Andarchar Khanka Sharif field and Sahebrampur Khanka Sharif field.
