According to the Met Office, snow showers could merge into a longer spell of snow on Tuesday, while Wednesday and Thursday are expected to see frequent snow showers. The national weather service has issued Oldham with a yellow weather warning and has warned that there could be travel delays and potential power cuts. The Met Office has warned motorists to plan their route, check for delays and road closures, set off earlier than usual and to have essentials in their car in case of delays. Temperatures are expected to be below zero on all three days the weather warning is in place, although temperatures are expected to feel even colder.
