Three months of critical roadworks planned for main Lincolnshire routeThe carriageway near Boston will be fully excavated and replaced with roughly 13,000 tonnes of new road surfacingView Image The Bicker Bar roundabout near Boston (Image: Google Maps)Major reconstruction works have been planned for the A17 near Boston. ‌Roadworks will be taking place between the Bicker Bar roundabout with the A17 and A52 and Hipper Lane for up to 14 weeks from Monday, April 13. ‌During this time the road will be closed on weekday evenings from 8pm to 6am so that the critical works can take place. ‌Councillor David East, executive member for highways, said: “Not only is this section of the A17 nearing the end of its serviceable life, but the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership has also flagged up Mill Lane junction as a potential safety risk. "I’m also very pleased that the team will be improving visibility at the Mill Lane junction since it’s has become a safety concern in recent years.
