The force said the pedestrians' family are currently being supported by liaison officers. The full statement by Cumbria Police states: "Three pedestrians have died following a collision that occurred at around 2:30pm today on Abbey Road, Dalton. "Emergency services were called the report of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle and three pedestrians. "As a result of the collision three pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene. "The family are currently being supported by our family liaison officers.
