Residents looking forward to A Time in Torbay will have to wait at least another year. The annual festival has been cancelled, after organizers discovered another event was scheduled for the same weekend at the Jack Byrne Arena. Dawe said the festival was sparked by the growing community's plea for an event that encouraged community spirit and togetherness. "It's your traditional Newfoundland festival that you would normally see in any of the towns across the province," she said. One event at last year's A Time in Torbay was a guided hike of part of the East Coast Trail.
