Tuesday’s twin attacks are the latest in a series of similar attacks from Pakistan’s side as tensions escalated between the two countries after Indian troops conducted ‘surgical strikes ‘ on Pakistan. Two militants were killed in the incident and police recovered two rifles and some cash, including two Rs 2000 notes, from the killed militants. In Poonch district, Pakistani troops reportedly violate ceasefire again after firing along the border in Mendhar sector. September 29: Small arms firing by Pakistani troops at Chapriyal and Samwan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Akhnoor sector. Reportedly the third ceasefire violation since the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on terror camps along the LoC.
