Marc writes A highly respected worldwide sports photography awards competition has recently announced its Gold Medal winners and those who received a Special Merit award. The prestigious World Sports Photography Awards received more than 5,000 entries from photographers in 20 countries around the world. I was shocked to receive a Gold Medal for the photograph of the US gymnast Simone Biles, who appears to be balancing by her hair whilst on the beam.
