They said they’d be there for us and they’ve been true to their word. It may have been 17 years since the show ended its 10-season run, but thanks to constant re-runs our friends never really left. When the hugely anticipated Friends Reunion Special finally made its way to our screens it was more than an exercise in ’90s nostalgia: it really was like getting together with old pals and clicking with them all over again. The walls are still purple, the picture frame is still on the front door framing the peephole, and the boxy old TV hasn’t been upgraded to a flatscreen. The gang – well, most of them – are pretty much the same too.
