Tony Clark said Saturday that the Major League Baseball Players Association is open to discuss “the bigger pieces” of the basic agreement with the owners. “You’ve heard Rob offer that he’s willing to have a conversation on the bigger pieces,” Clark, the executive director of the union, said. “I’ve offered publicly that we’re willing to have a conversation about the bigger pieces. The smaller pieces, like the 20-second pitch clock implemented by MLB during this spring training, is a point of ongoing discussions, Clark said.
