Musitano, a leading Mafia figure through the 1970s and 1980s, died Wednesday in a residence in Caledonia, west of Hamilton. Police investigating that murder said Tony Musitano was looked at as part of their probe. Tony Musitano professed he had left “that life” after prison and called himself “a dinosaur” when it came to the new faces in the mob. He shielded his children from the mob side of the family business and was pleased with their accomplishments. From among the throng of cops, friends and other supporters, one man quickly stepped away, crossed the road and asked, in a firm voice: “Are these young men bothering you?”It was Tony Musitano.
