Heavy congestion on the eastbound QEW in Burlington is easing up following two separate accidents — one of which left all lanes blocked early Monday morning. The OPP reported the first accident at around 5 a.m., near Brant St. Both lanes affected by a diesel spill clean-up were re-opened at around 8:10 a.m. The shoulder will remain closed as crews continue working to clear a diesel spill, the OPP said. A second crash at Fairview St., also in Burlington, was reported by the OPP at around 6:30 a.m. Police said one lane was blocked, and that emergency crews had arrived at the scene.
