A tourist was clobbered by a wooden hammock in Manhattan Tuesday when a strong wind sent the piece of outdoor furniture sailing off a five story rooftop. The freak accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. as the 48-year-old British tourist was walking on a Tribeca street with her husband, according to police sources. It hit her!” cried a man who was walking with the victim, witnesses recounted. Authorities believe wind may have swept the hammock from a terrace five stories above at 110 Church Street, and an investigation is ongoing, officials said. This story originally appeared in the New York Post.
