The town hall meetings with President Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden were markedly different in style and tone, with the president repeatedly locked in tense exchanges with the host while his rival engaged in more calm back and forth. Mr. Biden was seated indoors at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center on a tranquil blue stage where he was questioned by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. His voice was calm and measured as he parried questions on taxes, race, fracking and the Supreme Court. Mr. Biden said he would announce his position on overhauling the Supreme Court before the election -- depending on how the Senate handles the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett. He reiterated that he doesn't support a ban on fracking but said “it has to be managed very, very well.”
