Toy run giving the gifts at ChristmasRebecca Moore/STUFF Southland Toy Run co-ordinator Stephen Hackett gets ready for the annual event this year. The annual Southland Toy Run is full steam ahead and this year it is set to celebrate 30 years. On November 26, motorcycle riders of all ages are encouraged to ride a circuit along Elles Rd, Tay St, Dee St then Gala St and finish at the Burt Munro statue. This year was the 30th annual Toy Run, but for the past 10 years the event had been held alongside the Burt Munro Challenge. Event co-ordinator Stephen Hackett said since the Burt Munro Challenge date had been changed to February, the event was back on its own again.
