Photo : BSSLALMONIRHAT, March 27, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Asadul Habib Dulu today said the traditional fair held in Sindurmati area of the district has set a unique example of communal harmony. He made the remark while addressing a meeting as the chief guest after visiting the traditional Sindurmati fair at the bank of Sindurmati Dighi in Panchgram Union of Sadar upazila in the district. Dulu said the spontaneous participation of people from different religions, alongside Hindu community members, in Sindurmati reflects a strong bond of mutual empathy, cooperation, and love. Dulu said Sindurmati area had seen no notable development for a long time in the past. Asaduzzaman, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mononita Das, Lalmonirhat district BNP joint general secretary Mominul Haque, and joint assistant general secretary ABM Faruk Siddiqui, along with senior officials of the local administration and political leaders, were present.
