Traffic jams likely in Delhi over restrictions for ASEAN summit today

Commuters are likely to face traffic jams on prominent stretches across Delhi on Thursday as vehicles will be stopped on many roads in central Delhi due to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN summit. Leaders of Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Brunei, and Indonesia are attending the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit. Delhi Traffic Police have advised commuters to avoid Satya Marg, Shanti Path, Teen Murti, South Avenue Road, Akbar Road, Vijay Chowk, Panchsheel Marg, Safdarjung Road on Thursday and Friday. Motorists are advised to use C-Hexagon, KG Marg and Shahjahan Road,” the traffic police said in a series of tweets. The traffic was heavy from the airport towards Dhaula Kuan and police said motorists should take RTR and under Mahipalpur flyover.
