KUALA LUMPUR (March 18): The traffic flow out of the Klang Valley towards the East Coast, as well as the northern and southern regions of Peninsular Malaysia, has started to build up in several locations by Wednesday evening, as people begin returning to their hometowns to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. "For those heading towards the East Coast, traffic congestion is occurring on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway in Gombak towards Genting Sempah, from Bukit Tinggi to Lentang, and at the Bentong Rest Area towards the Bentong Toll Plaza. Congestion is also occurring at the Kuala Terengganu Toll Plaza on the East Coast Highway 2," the spokesperson said when contacted by Bernama on Wednesday. It said the weather conditions in most areas in the afternoon were reported to be good, with rain only in the Klang Valley. The public are urged to adhere to the speed limits and always maintain a safe distance between vehicles throughout their journey.
